Beyond Medicine, MD is a boutique, cash based integrative medicine practice. With a smaller client panel, Dr. Illescas is able to offer extended appointment times and frequent communication that fosters a beautiful client- physician relationship.
Do I need to keep my health insurance if I join Beyond Medicine, MD?
Yes. However, it is recommended that you change to a high deductible plan, designed for emergencies only. The difference in your monthly premium can be contributed to an HSA which can then be used to pay for a customized healthcare experience with Beyond Medicine, MD. For services outside of Beyond Medicine, MD, clients are able to use their insurance for services such as routine lab work, imaging studies, specialty tests, and consultations with specialists.
What is the wait time to be seen for a visit?
On occasion, same day appointments are available, while the majority can be made within 2-3 days. Virtual appointments are available as well.
What is the wait time for a response in the package-based model?
Dr. Illescas will respond via email or the patient portal within 24-48 hours. If you are having a medical emergency either call 911 or go to Albuquerque ER and Hospital.
What is the wait time to for a response in the membership based model?
Dr. Illescas will usually be able to respond to your call or your text message immediately or within 1 hour.
